Job summary
Nextpower seeks a Lead Tool Technician Mechanic to serve as the technical authority for installation tooling and field tool-support programs. You will lead planning, deployment, commissioning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tooling systems at customer and construction sites.
You will diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and controls issues, translate technical information into practical field solutions, and mentor technicians while ensuring EH&S compliance across
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline required.
- 5+ years of experience in installation tooling, construction equipment, or field service.
- Strong ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Act as senior technical resource for installation tooling and field deployment.
- Plan, setup, calibrate, relocate, and demobilize tool-support workshops and field equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and controls issues with root-cause analysis.
- Translate schematics and service documentation into clear field instructions and actions.
- Lead safety documentation and site EH&S compliance across multiple sites.
