Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Lead Tool Technician Mechanic to serve as the technical authority for installation tooling and field support. You will plan, deploy, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain tooling systems across customer sites and construction projects.

You’ll lead technical work, provide coaching and training, and ensure safe, efficient field execution while managing documentation, safety plans, and cross‑functional collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5+ years in installation tooling, field service, or related environment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and implement durable corrective actions.
• Experience leading technical work at active sites with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior technical resource for installation tooling and field deployment activities.
• Plan, commission, calibrate, relocate, and demobilize tool-support workshops and field equipment.
• Diagnose advanced hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic, and controls issues using schematics and manuals.
• Translate technical documentation into clear field instructions and actionable fixes.
• Create and maintain safety analyses, site safety plans, and inspection records.
