Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3) for the THAAD Program Tooling Team. You will design and manage tooling to enable rapid, reliable production of the THAAD system.

Responsibilities include advancing tool design, transitioning new designs to production, and leading process validation with cost-reduction efforts. Willingness to travel and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience in CREO, SolidWorks, Inventor or other 3D CAD tools.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing instructions.
• Domestic and international travel 25-50%.
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine tooling designs to meet production requirements.
• Provide Design-for-Manufacture input and transition designs to production.
• Lead manufacturing process validation and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Identify production risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Support earned-value management and resolve tooling issues with teams.
