Lockheed Martin in Troy, MI is seeking a Senior Tool Engineer to design, fabricate, and implement tools and fixtures for missile component manufacture, ensuring compliance with government regulations. You will use CREO/Pro-E and CATIA V5, provide shop-floor support, and collaborate with designers, production and stakeholders to resolve tooling and manufacturing issues.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of tooling experience, plus the ability to obtain a DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5 years of professional Tool Design experience, or 4 years with GD&T certification.
• Experience creating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings of tools and fixtures.
• U.S. Citizen capable of obtaining DoD Secret Clearance; Interim Secret assistance provided.
• Must pass ATF background investigation for employee possessor status.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, production operations and stakeholders to design tooling and fixtures.
• Create detailed tool CAD models and drawings using PTCCreo and CATIA V5.
• Provide shop-floor support to resolve tooling and manufacturing issues.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, safety, and engineering requirements.
