Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. in Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to lead new injection mold development from DFM through production. You will collaborate with mold suppliers to deliver robust molds ensuring consistent, high-quality parts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
• Minimum 5 years in injection molding with mold development focus.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to adapt to changes quickly.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Experience with 3D modeling software (AutoCAD Inventor or SolidWorks).
• Experience performing mold flow analyses (MoldEx 3D preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate part design for moldability and mold tooling design reviews with stakeholders.
• Track milestones and communicate with internal/external teams.
• Structure projects with clear objectives and supplier alignment.
• Document requirements and specifications to ensure supplier compliance.
• Record all technical documentation including qualification results.
• Coordinate between internal customers, suppliers, and supply chain for priority and schedule.
• Provide weekly status reports on tooling, qualification, transfers, and repair status.
• Plan and attend FAT activities on-site at suppliers.
• Evaluate testing results and direct dimensional/visual improvements.
• Manage internal mold testing and qualification tasks.
• Deliver comprehensive mold documentation for hand-off to production.
