Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. in Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to lead new injection mold development from Part DFM through production approval. You will work closely with moldMaking suppliers to deliver robust molds that reliably produce quality parts.

This role requires a mechanical engineering background with 5+ years in injection molding, hands-on experience with AutoCAD Inventor or SolidWorks, MoldEx 3D, and familiarity with engineering resins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
• Minimum 5 years in injection molding with focus on mold development.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with quick adaptability and problem-solving.
• Experience with 3D modeling software: AutoCAD Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Experience performing/interpreting Mold flow analyses (MoldEx 3D preferred).
• Familiar with engineering grade resins.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate part design for moldability and mold tooling reviews with stakeholders.
• Track milestones and communicate with team and suppliers.
• Structure projects with clear objectives for suppliers.
• Document requirements and specifications for supplier compliance.
• Record all technical documentation including qualification results.
• Coordinate between internal customers, suppliers, and supply chain to set priorities and schedules.
• Provide weekly status reports on tooling, scheduling, transfers, and repair status.
• Plan, coordinate and attend FAT activities on-site at suppliers.
• Evaluate testing results and direct all molding and qualification improvements.
• Manage internal mold testing and qualification tasks.
• Deliver mold documentation for seamless hand-off to production.
