Job summary

Thea Energy Inc. is seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to lead the design, build, and factory-floor deployment of large, heavy tooling for a first-of-a-kind fusion energy system.

You will own tooling from early CAD concepts through fabrication, load testing, commissioning, and operational deployment, while collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to ensure safe, repeatable handling of multi-ton hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience leading heavy tooling design from concept to deployment.
• Strong CAD modeling skills with an ability to translate conceptual designs into manufacturable solutions.
• Experience with load testing and commissioning of heavy hardware.
• Ability to collaborate across design, manufacturing, and supplier shops to ensure successful integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, and deployment of large, heavy tooling and handling equipment.
• Coordinate with design and manufacturing teams to own tooling from CAD to deployment.
• Oversee fabrication, load testing, commissioning, and on-site deployment of tooling hardware.
• Ensure safe, repeatable handling and installation of multi-ton equipment on the factory floor.
