Job summary

Thea Energy is pioneering a new approach to fusion energy with cutting-edge coils and test rigs. We seek a hands-on technician to build, operate, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in shop fabrication or high-tech manufacturing, strong soldering and documentation skills, and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in shop fabrication, manufacturing, research, or high-tech industry.
• 5+ years of technical experience with mechanical or electrical systems, high vacuum or cryogenic systems, plumbing, soldering, system testing, power or controls systems.
• Comfortable working to aggressive deadlines and exceptional work ethic.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite tools or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems
• Assist in developing new equipment, tools, procedures, and inspection techniques to reduce production time while maintaining high quality
• Responsible for tool and workspace organization and maintenance
• Assemble and troubleshoot test articles and supporting test equipment
• Collaborate to support development of manufacturing processes and tooling
