Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Senior Tooling and Automation Engineer in the United States to design and maintain integrations connecting RMM, network monitoring, backup reporting, and ITSM platforms. You will use AI-assisted coding tools to generate reliable automations and own Jira Service Management configurations.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in MSP or enterprise IT environment focusing on tooling, automation, or integrations.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining integrations; proficient with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, XML, and authentication methods.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools to produce maintainable code.
• Ability to write scripts in Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript, and use Git for version control.
• Experience administering Jira Service Management and ITSM platforms.
• Knowledge of RMM, network monitoring, backup tooling, and alert management.
• Solid ITIL and change management understanding; ability to implement changes in a controlled way.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities across integrated systems.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support integrations across RMM, network monitoring, backup reporting, and ITSM platforms.
• Own Jira Service Management configuration, workflows, queues, and automations.
• Optimize alerting across tooling ecosystem to reduce noise and improve relevance.
• Provide senior escalation for complex tooling issues across integrations and scripts.
• Establish tooling standards and coordinate changes with platform admins.
• Lead build-vs-buy decisions, vendor evaluations, and end-to-end implementations.
• Manage customer-specific deployments with configurations and observability policies.
• Communicate solutions clearly to customers and stakeholders.
• Prepare operational reports (SLOs, utilization, performance) for leadership.
• Maintain governance with ITIL-aligned change management and detailed documentation.
• Demonstrate technical ownership to ensure scalable, reliable tooling environments.
