Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, ME seeks a Sr. Tool and Gage Maker to read blueprints and perform machining on manual and CNC equipment. You will set up, calibrate, and fabricate gages and fixtures, ensuring accuracy and safety across all tasks.

You will provide technical support, follow tool-related procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement on the shop floor. Second shift work is available, with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience; 3+ years with completed certificate or degree.

Responsibilities

• Read and work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and sample pieces to lay out durable tools.
• Machining processes to alter and repair tools, gages and fixtures.
• Set up complex angled setups using precision measuring equipment safely.
• Calibrate/fabricate fixtures and gages to specifications.
• Provide written/ verbal technical support to internal and external customers.
