Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX company, is seeking a Sr. Tool and Gage Maker to operate manual machines, lathes, bridges and grinders. You will read blueprints, set up tools, and calibrate gages for precision tooling used in aerospace manufacturing.

The role requires 5+ years in tool & gage making or a related field, with strong math, machine operation and drafting skills, plus soldering and welding know‑how. Training, safety and continuous improvement are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of shop mathematics, algebra, trigonometry, and geometry.
• Understanding of machinery, hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Experience with soldering, welding and heat treating applications is a plus.
• Excellent computer skills relevant to tooling and QA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and layout tools; prepare durable tools for machining.
• Perform machining to modify tools, gages, and fixtures.
• Set up and calibrate complex fixtures and gages to specification.
• Provide technical support to internal/external customers and document SAP transactions.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and ACE improvement initiatives.
