Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Plainville, CT seeks a Tool Maker II to build and modify tools, jigs, molds and fixtures using precision bench and machining operations. This 100% on-site role is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm with overtime available.

You will program, set-up and operate machine tools (Hurco, Prototrak, surface grinders, manual Bridgeports and lathes), read blueprints, and ensure tolerances with basic metrology. ITAR/EAR compliance and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of machinist experience.
• U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship required).
• ITAR/EAR regulations compliance required.
• Reads blueprints and interprets drawings for fixture fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate machine tools to fabricate fixtures and components.
• Read blueprints to dimension parts and ensure tolerance compliance.
• Set feeds, speeds, and machine parameters to meet specs.
• Work with engineers to review designs and provide feedback.
• Maintain basic metrology checks on fixtures and assemblies.
