Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Maine is hiring a Sr. Tool and Gage Maker to support operating manual machines, lathes, Bridgeport's and surface grinders on first shift. You will read blueprints, perform tool and gage fabrication and calibration, and maintain accuracy across fixtures and gauges.

Expect to work with Haas or Trak equipment, manage multiple priorities, and participate in continuous improvement. Training opportunities and on-site teamwork are emphasized within a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; 5+ years of relevant experience, or 3+ years with completed certificate or post-secondary degree.
• 5+ years of tool & gage making experience with completed technical certificate or post-secondary degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Read and work from blueprints, sketches and drawings; lay out durable tools for machining or inspection.
• Perform machining processes to alter and repair tools, gages and fixtures.
• Set up tooling and ensure fixtures/gages are calibrated to specifications.
• Provide written/ verbal technical support to internal and external customers.
• Execute SAP transactions thoroughly and accurately.
• Adhere to safety and sign-in/out procedures; support ACE initiatives and continuous improvement.
