Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Sr. Program Director to lead the NYS Thruway program, directing strategy, P&L, and client engagement. The role requires deep experience with state government contracts, tolling operations, and large call centers. Frequent travel to New York and relocation assistance are provided.

The successful candidate will oversee budgeting, performance metrics, staffing, and compliance, driving project success from planning through execution and ongoing support after go-live.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• 12-15 years of professional experience in a related field required.
• Experience leading state tolling contracts.
• Experience leading large call center (~700 agents) with KPIs, SLAs, quality and compliance.
• Willing to relocate to New York state.
• Experience implementing a State contract of at least 750 people.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting and P&L targets.
• Ensure contract compliance with state/federal regulations.
• Align goals with project strategies and manage operations.
• Lead budgeting controls and human resources for the project.
• Plan priorities and schedule milestones to achieve goals.
• Review reports to ensure objectives are met and provide guidance.
• Support RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs with management approaches and documents.
• Guide operational managers and mentor staff for development.
• Coordinate staffing resources and align across initiatives.
