Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Sr. Implementation Project Manager to lead tolling and contact center system implementations for the NYS Thruway team.

The role covers from contract signing through post go-live support, with onsite work in New York State and relocation assistance provided. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of government contract implementation experience in tolling or contact centers, strong leadership, and PMP or Agile certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 7–10 years of experience.
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with time constraints.
• Proactive, analytical, and process-driven with a customer focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience leading large corporate initiatives.
• Willing to relocate to New York state.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning activities and artifacts for complex initiatives, including scope statements, WBS, and schedules.
• Monitor schedule progress and drive corrective actions; track issues and decisions.
• Develop and monitor risk plans with mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and deliver project status to stakeholders.
• Implement solutions to improve processes and services for customers.
• Lead continuous improvement teams.
• Direct PM staff, prioritize workload, and escalate issues as needed.
