Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. seeks a support engineer to join a team delivering high‑level, high‑quality support to our Military, Industrial, Financial, Space and Frequency and Time Synchronization Solutions customers.

You will learn the Primary Reference Standard 'Atomic Clocks', interpret schematics, troubleshoot FTS systems, log cases in CRM, and provide front line technical and applications support with emphasis on scalable features of Microchip FTS equipment. No travel required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 4–6 years of technical support or customer service experience.
• Experience with frequency references and network timing (NTP/PTP/IRIG) is preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and production procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable with calls/web meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide front line technical and applications support to customers and internal sales forces.
• Learn and troubleshoot Primary Reference Standard 'Atomic Clocks'.
• Interpret schematics, assembly drawings and production procedures.
• Troubleshoot FTS timing and synchronization systems to identify faults.
• Log customer cases in the CRM system and update case status.
• Provide technical presentations and training reflecting customer needs.
