Job summary

AVC Technology Corporation is seeking a Tier 3 Systems Engineer to join our fast-paced MSP team in Indianapolis. You’ll serve as the final escalation for complex IT issues across cloud and on-prem environments, optimizing Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and cloud services.

You’ll automate tasks with PowerShell and RMM tools, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients to plan infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT support, systems administration, or engineering experience, preferably in an MSP.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, M365, Azure, Intune, Exchange Online).
• Solid networking skills (VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and NAS/SAN storage.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices.
• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell).
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Certifications like Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or CCNA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the final escalation point for complex issues.
• Tackle advanced system and network incidents across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Administer and optimize Windows Server, AD, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Maintain and modernize Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, and related cloud tech.
• Plan, deploy, and support IT infrastructure projects for clients.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs (Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, SonicWall).
• Champion cybersecurity best practices and patch management.
• Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell or RMM tools.
• Document and standardize processes for future efficiency.
• Communicate clearly with clients and teammates; mentor junior staff.
