Placements24 is sourcing a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence for a leading financial institution. The role is based in East London and focuses on proactive threat identification, analysis, and rapid response to protect digital assets and customer data.

You will gather threat intelligence from multiple sources, develop detection strategies, and deliver actionable insights to strengthen security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity with focus on threat intelligence, SOC or IR.
• Experience with SIEMs (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and threat intel platforms.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and analyze threat intel feeds, alerts and incident reports from SIEM/IDS/IPS and intel platforms.
• Investigate and triage potential security incidents, assessing scope and impact.
• Develop threat models and profiles for the organization’s landscape.
• Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
• Produce timely threat intel reports for technical teams and leadership.
• Refine detection rules based on threat intel insights.
• Collaborate with IR teams during investigations.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements of monitoring and detection capabilities.
• Educate stakeholders on cyber threats and best practices.
• Stay current with cyber trends, tools and techniques.
