Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst to lead global cyber threat analysis from a remote-first environment. You will monitor open-source, dark web, and proprietary feeds, track APTs, and develop threat actor profiles and IOCs.

You will produce reports and briefings for executives and technical teams across regions. The role requires 5+ years in threat intelligence, strong data analysis, and experience with TIPs and SIEM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in threat intelligence analysis, cybersecurity operations, or a related discipline.
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of data from diverse intelligence sources.
• Strong understanding of cyber threat landscapes, APTs, malware, and attack vectors.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for data analysis and automation is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, research, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first environment.
• Relevant certifications such as GCTI, CTI, or similar are advantageous.
• Familiarity with geopolitical factors influencing cyber threats is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze global cyber threat intelligence sources, including open-source, dark web, and proprietary feeds.
• Identify, track, and attribute advanced persistent threats (APTs) and other malicious actors.
• Develop and maintain threat actor profiles, TTPs, and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Produce timely and actionable intelligence reports, briefings, and alerts for various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with incident response and security operations teams to provide threat context and support remediation efforts.
• Develop and refine threat hunting methodologies based on intelligence analysis.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of threat intelligence platforms and tools.
• Present intelligence findings and recommendations to technical and executive audiences.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the overall growth of the threat intelligence function.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and defensive technologies.
