Job summary

The Bancorp Bank is seeking a Senior Threat Analyst to serve as a senior technical authority within Cybersecurity Technical Operations. The role covers threat detection, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability analysis, threat hunting, and related cybersecurity operations.

You will independently perform complex technical work, mentor junior staff, and drive high-impact investigations and operational improvements across teams. Hybrid work in Wilmington, DE is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity, security ops, incident response, threat analysis or related security roles.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex cybersecurity investigations or technical response activities.
• Advanced knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management and threat hunting.
• Strong networking, cloud and security technology knowledge across enterprise environments.
• Ability to mentor other analysts and share expertise in investigations and detections.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior escalation point for complex cybersecurity events and lead investigations, containment, and post-incident reviews.
• Perform advanced threat intelligence analysis and correlate sources to inform detections and response.
• Lead proactive threat hunting and develop detection priorities.
• Develop, tune, and review security monitoring rules and use cases to reduce false positives.
• Lead vulnerability analysis and coordinate remediation with stakeholders.
• Mentor Analyst I/II and contribute to team capability growth.
• Support audits, regulatory examinations, and control assessments with technical evidence and guidance.
