Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence for a fully remote global security operations team. You will lead threat intelligence programs, analyze evolving cyber threats targeting large enterprises, and provide actionable insights to improve security posture across locations.

The role requires 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in threat intel, strong scripting ability, and leadership skills to mentor junior analysts while coordinating with SOC

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity with at least 3 years in threat intelligence, security operations or IR.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT; Master's preferred for advanced roles.
• Proven experience collecting, analyzing and disseminating threat intelligence.
• Expertise with TIPs, SIEM/EDR/IDS/IPS, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of threat intel programs and strategies.
• Identify and report on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
• Develop threat intel feeds using diverse sources and tools.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to detect APTs and anomalies.
• Deliver timely intelligence to SOC, IR, and risk teams.
• Tune security monitoring and detections based on intel insights.
• Mentor junior analysts and guide risk-informed decisions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on intel sharing.
• Stay current on cyber trends, technologies, and threat actor methods.
