Samsara is seeking a Senior Threat Detection Engineer to build and operate signals, pipelines, and tooling that power threat detection for Samsara and customers.

You will own the detection lifecycle from hypothesis to deployment, work with Security Operations and engineering teams, and explore AI-driven capabilities while managing risk.

This role supports a flexible remote model in the United States with opportunities to contribute to a growing Connected Operations cloud.

Competenze

• 6+ years in security engineering or detection engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with large dataset analysis.
• Hands-on with detection-as-code, Git workflows, automated testing, and CI/CD.

Mansioni

• Build, deploy, and improve MITRE ATT&CK–aligned detections across cloud, endpoint, identity, email, and application telemetry.
• Own the full detection lifecycle—from hypothesis to deployment, tuning, validation and retirement.
• Advance our detection‑as‑code platform with version control, peer review, automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.
• Identify emerging threat surfaces and build integrations to strengthen data ingestion and coverage.
