Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Staff Thermal Analyst to advance structural and thermal analysis across spacecraft, UAVs, and launch platforms. You will develop methodologies, evaluate loads, stresses and thermal interactions, and lead complex FEA tasks across multiple programs.

The role requires deep experience in static/dynamic analyses, material behavior, and verification strategies, with cross-functional collaboration to improve product reliability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace/ mechanical/ civil engineering with extensive related experience.
• In-depth knowledge of structural mechanics, FEA and thermal-structural interactions.
• Experience with static, dynamic, vibration, fatigue and thermal analyses across programs.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with CAD/engineering software tools.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural analysis methodologies and verification strategies across products.
• Lead complex calculations, finite element analyses, and design trade studies.
• Perform thermal analyses and evaluate thermal-structural interactions.
• Guide verification, validation, testing activities and engineering investigations.
• Mentor engineers and promote consistent structural analysis practices.
