Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Mechanical Analyst to develop structural, thermal, and stress analyses supporting complex satellites and aerospace platforms. You will work across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure products meet strength, stiffness, durability, and mission requirements.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, verification, validation, and engineering guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of structural/FEA experience on aerospace programs.
• Experience with static, dynamic, vibration, fatigue and buckling analyses.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural analyses of components, assemblies, and systems using analytical methods and FEA.
• Conduct stress, load, margin of safety, fatigue, and vibration analyses for complex products.
• Evaluate drawings, CAD models, materials properties, specs and analytical models for structural decisions.
• Develop and conduct thermal analyses including steady-state and transient heat transfer and CFD.
