Job summary

NuScale Power is seeking a Thermal-Hydraulics Engineer 3 to contribute as an experienced technical member within the Nuclear Methods group. You will work with multiple engineering teams to apply state-of-the-art TH methods to support development, validation, and licensing of new approaches for safety analyses.

The role requires hands-on experience with reactor TH analyses, subchannel and system TH, and interfaces with neutronics and design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of full-time, relevant engineering experience.
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate next‑gen multi‑physics methods linking TH and neutronics.
• Support method qualification with benchmarks and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare subchannel analyses for steady-state and transient margins.
• Perform coupled TH evaluations of LOCA/transients for new methods.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead analysis tasks.
