Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Thermal Generations Project Manager to lead complex projects across the U.S. with positions in Houston, TX; Overland Park, KS; and Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related major, or equivalent experience in a technical or engineering firm.
• 12+ years of relevant post-education experience in a project management role within the industry.
• Advanced proficiency with project management processes in the A/E/C industry and strong PM leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities with business acumen bridging business and project management.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with leadership, subcontractors, and staff at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for large-scale, complex projects including budgets, forecasts, margins, and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder engagement strategies and project reporting.
• Guide pursuit/initiation activities including Go/No-Go decisions, contract reviews, and risk mitigation.
• Participate in contract negotiations, presentations, and meetings.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and appropriate staff reviews for project deliverables.
• Provide strategic, high-level advice to clients and mentored staff for professional growth.
• Coordinate resources and subcontracting needs with area/technical managers; drive timely updates to clients.
• Maintain project documentation (PMP, QP, PSP, risk registers, etc.) and ensure project closeout and lessons learned.
