Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer, Thermal, to support development, permitting, engineering, construction and commissioning of geothermal and thermal projects across North America. You will manage engineering consultants, prepare permit applications, specify configurations and performance, and review equipment proposals with a focus on thermodynamics, heat transfer, and turbine performance.

• Spreadsheet modeling using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with large capital geothermal or thermal projects is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review basic and detail design for power generation projects.
• Lead technical efforts during development and collaborate with engineers and geophysicists.
• Review thermal heat balances and assist with site selection and environmental studies.
• Interface with equipment vendors and oversee project design documents and drawings.
• Provide engineering oversight during project design and construction.
