Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Thermal Analyst to join the Test and Analysis team in Lexington, MA. You will own thermal design aspects across hardware programs, executing both first-order and detailed analyses, and developing predictive models to support rapid prototyping and testing.

You will work with environmental test engineers, stay current with thermal analysis techniques, and deliver reports to internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• MS or higher degree in engineering or applied physics with focus on heat transfer and fluid dynamics
• 7+ years of experience in a thermal analysis or thermo-physics analysis role
• Thermal FEA experience with STAR-CCM+/ANSYS/Icepak/Flotherm
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for analytical models & data processing
• Experience with test-model correlation and design-of-experiments

Responsibilities

• Perform hand calculations, spreadsheets, and first-order models to guide design decisions
• Develop CFD models to predict temperatures, heat transfer, and fluid characteristics
• Create and correlate integrated FEMs for imaging platforms
• Conduct test-model correlation and validate analytical predictions
• Collaborate with environmental test engineers on instrumentation and testing
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to teams and customers
