Job summary

Anduril Industries in Boulder, CO is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to own thermal design across hardware development programs, from concept through production, and to develop validated models that guide architecture and testing.

You will execute first-principles analyses, CFD, and FEMs, perform test-model correlation, and partner with environmental test teams to instrument, run tests, and document results for internal and external customers. Eligible for U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• MS or higher in engineering or applied physics with focus on heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
• 7+ years of thermal analysis experience.
• Thermal FEA software proficiency (STAR-CCM+, ANSYS, Icepak, Flotherm).
• Proficiency with Matlab or Python for analytical modelling and data processing.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute hand calculations, CFD, and FEMs to inform design decisions.
• Develop and maintain CFD/FEA models for imaging platforms.
• Perform test-model correlation to validate predictions.
• Collaborate with environmental test engineers on instrumentation and data processing.
