Job summary

Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge seeks an Assistant Director for Testing Student Services to lead five LSU Testing Centers and oversee a complex testing software ecosystem. You will supervise proctors, coordinate professional and external exams, and ensure secure, high-volume operations with rigorous protocols.

The role requires autonomy, strategic planning, and strong analytical skills to support faculty testing needs and student services across the university.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience.
Experience in testing center/lab management.
Two or more years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Responsibilities

Direct daily supervision and development for Testing Center Managers and serve as backup for all Testing Center management needs.
Lead and resolve operational challenges with scheduling, test delivery disruptions, and incidents.
Oversee readiness of all five Testing Centers, including staff scheduling and coverage.
Coordinate proctor placement for daytime, evening, and Saturday testing across centers.
Handle escalated incidents with Campus Police, EMS, or higher administration as needed.
Operate and maintain video surveillance; submit documentation as required.
