Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Senior Test Systems Technician in Cheshire, CT to repair and maintain a wide range of electrical and electro-mechanical test equipment, ensuring peak facility performance.

You will troubleshoot, fabricate, and diagnose with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators, and you will lead maintenance procedures to improve uptime while supporting safety and quality in a high-tech aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree with 8+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with electronic and electro-mechanical test systems.
• Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of electronic test equipment and schematics.
• Experience identifying root causes to component level.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and perform preventive maintenance on electrical and electro-mechanical test systems.
• Fabrication, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on diverse equipment.
• Diagnostics using oscilloscopes, meters, function generators; isolate faults via schematics.
• Drive parts replacement and verify corrective work with tests.
• Develop maintenance procedures and workflows to improve uptime.
• Learn and operate all test machines; maintain subsystems.
• Configure and instrument test stations according to specs, ensuring test integrity.
