Job summary

RTX Corporation is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Test Software for our Airborne RF Electronics team in a primarily onsite role in Plano, Texas. You will lead development and maintenance of automated test software for production acceptance and diagnostics, ensuring test equipment reliability and thorough coverage.

Expect data-driven fault isolation and cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, program leadership, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing and/or supporting automated test systems.
• Active and transferable US Government issued Secret security clearance prior to the start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve automated test software used for production acceptance and diagnostic test.
• Ensure Test Equipment is operable, reliable, and yielding optimal test coverage and throughput.
• Perform technical evaluations of hardware and software-driven test results; categorize failures and create systematic dispositions.
• Identify, prioritize, and execute test process and software improvement opportunities.
• Provide regular status updates to program leadership regarding test performance, failures, and corrective actions.
• Create and update test procedures, technical documentation, and software release artifacts.
• Travel to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites to support test and production activities (up to 25%).
