Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Burnsville, MN is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (P3) to lead design, development and testing of test software for production sensor products. You will collaborate with engineers, operators and technicians to solve complex manufacturing challenges onsite.

The role requires a STEM degree and 5 years of software experience (or advanced degree with 3 years), with VB/LabVIEW as preferred skills.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Prior experience in a software related position

Responsibilities

Lead researching, designing, developing, and testing software solutions and networks as well as resolving day-to-day technical problems by troubleshooting software & electrical devices problems on the production line
Provide strategic guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and requirements to best utilize equipment and coding techniques across test engineering
Work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively with engineers, operators, and technicians
Design and review major components or major portions of functional test software and present findings to the team
Develop processes, procedures, and best practices for test software design and development in a manufacturing environment
Present project and or technical information to peers, internal management, and customers as part of design reviews
