Job summary

RTX in McKinney is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to evaluate complex assemblies, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions. You will work with manufacturing engineering, factory operations, and quality engineers to reduce cycle time and costs while supporting CCAs and test equipment.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies, plus the ability to read schematics and drawings.

Qualifications

Typically requires a STEM degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience using standard electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
Experience troubleshooting CCAs, sub-assemblies, and complex systems.
Ability to read mechanical drawings or electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Evaluate test results and determine root causes of failures.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and quality teams to implement improvements.
Provide technical troubleshooting and corrective actions for test systems.
Investigate failure trends and address systemic issues with CAPAs.
Support repairs for CCAs, sub-assemblies, and test equipment for McKinney programs.
Develop troubleshooting aids, tools, and documentation to support production.
