Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electronic Materials Failure Analysis Engineer within the Electrical Engineering section to perform failure analysis and component evaluation for devices ranging from simple passive components to complex microcircuits.

You will analyze electrical components, document results, and operate lab equipment such as microscopes, oscilloscopes, curve tracers, X-Ray, and other analysis tools while supporting ongoing research and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science (with an emphasis on electronics) obtained upon start date.
• Experience with electrical test equipment such as; DMM, curve tracer, parametric analyzers, multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.
• Academic experience with microcircuits, active & passive electrical components, or other electrical components and materials.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of electrical components including visual photo-documentation, electrical testing, non-destructive troubleshooting, environmental testing, x-ray evaluation, DPA and cross-sections.
• Detailed documentation of results.
• Learn and operate laboratory equipment such as microscopes, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, LCR meters, curve tracers, semiconductor parameter analyzers, signal generators, megohmmeters, bond tester, X-Ray, Scanning Acoustic Microscope, etc.
