Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Sr. Test Equipment Engineer to design and implement cost-effective test methods for PCBAs, sub-systems, and full systems. The role supports integration and testing of unmanned aircraft systems and payloads.

Requirements include 8–12 years in development test solutions, strong C# and OOP skills, and expertise with NI TestStand and LabVIEW. You will lead test development across multidisciplinary teams and contribute to design feedback for testability.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–12 years in development test solutions for manufacturing.
• Experience with NI TestStand and LabVIEW required.
• Experience writing test plans and bug reports.
• Ability to estimate cost and lead time from specs.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, deploys, troubleshoots and upgrades test equipment.
• Writes test plans and specifications and analyzes results.
• Drives for timely deliverables in aggressive timelines.
• Collaborates with diverse teams across disciplines.
• Develops power conversion, motor control, and avionics test systems.
• Executes functional, performance and environmental tests on avionics.
