Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Test Engineer to design, develop, and implement cost-effective testing methods for production testing of small UAV systems and PCBA sub-systems. The role emphasizes C# / OOP development in Visual Studio and LabVIEW proficiency, with hands-on test fixture design and test plan creation.

You will work with cross-functional teams to drive results, contribute to test instrumentation and documentation, and support a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required.
• 2–5 years' experience developing production test solutions.
• Experience writing test plans from requirements and technical specs.
• Experience writing bug reports and performing root-cause analyses.
• Proficiency in C# with Visual Studio; LabVIEW experience is a plus.
• Ability to estimate work from specifications at different life cycle stages.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design and test instrumentation.
• Understanding testing methodologies across the product life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test programs, fixtures, and procedures for new products.
• Design test fixtures and equipment; develop test strategies.
• Plan labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and calibration.
• Develop test plans and strategies.
• Drive for results and meet deliverables on aggressive timelines.
