Job summary

Base-2 Solutions, LLC seeks a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to validate UI functionality, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility while ensuring federal cybersecurity compliance during modernization of a government information system.

You will develop test plans, perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web apps, and validate integrations with Apache Tomcat, Oracle 19c, SAP BI, and backend APIs. collaboration with security and BA teams is essential.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
Strong UI testing expertise including user interface validation and cross-browser compatibility.
Proficiency with defect tracking systems.
Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and government accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
Experience testing Apache Tomcat application servers, Oracle 19c databases, and SAP BI interfaces.
Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
API testing experience (Apache Solr, RESTful services).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.
Excellent analytical skills and meticulous documentation practices.
Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new features.
Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.

Execute manual testing methodologies for complex scenarios.

Test enterprise applications in Windows Server environments.
Verify security controls and data protection measures.
Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks for regression testing.
Perform API testing for backend services (Apache Solr, RESTful services).
Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Manage defect tracking systems and coordinate issue resolution.
Test Apache Tomcat application server deployments and configurations.
Test Oracle 19c database integrations and data flows.
Test SAP BI reporting interfaces and outputs.
