Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Senior Test Engineer to join our Test Engineering team in Berkeley, CA. You will design, develop, and implement test strategies to ensure reliability, safety, and performance of our energy storage products, partnering with design teams to validate hardware concepts.

You will lead complex test programs, analyze large data sets, and drive continuous improvements in testing processes, with relocation support and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering with 4 years of test engineering experience.
• Proven ability to lead hardware verification programs.
• Experience processing high-bandwidth vibration data and deriving insights.
• Ability to partner with design engineering to validate hardware concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and own test strategies for component, subsystem, and system-level testing.
• Design complex electromechanical test systems and high-voltage architectures.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues across test stands.
• Identify and fix test architecture deficiencies.
• Advise on data acquisition systems and sensors selection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test cases.
• Analyze large test datasets to identify trends and reliability improvements.
• Prepare detailed test reports with findings and recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvements to testing processes.
