Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Staff Test Engineer to join our Test Engineering team. In this role you will design, develop, and implement test strategies and lead end-to-end campaigns to ensure reliability, safety, and performance of our energy storage products, in close partnership with design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering with 7–10 years in Test Engineering.
• Experience with air and liquid handling/thermomechanical systems.
• Data-driven end-to-end test campaigns and sensor/data acquisition strategies.
• Ability to partner with design teams and external labs to align validation plans.
• Strong leadership and mentorship track record.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and RCA efforts.
• Experience with external test lab partnerships and coordinating test execution.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Test Leadership: lead tests from concept to final validation for hardware integrated systems.
• Fixtures, Infrastructure & Automation Strategy: design test fixtures, infrastructure, and automation strategies.
• Technical Delegation & Team Facilitation: coordinate activities and delegate RCA efforts.
• Cross-Functional Design Influence: represent Test Engineering in reviews and validation planning.
• Operational Excellence: standardize test reporting and data integrity; adopt new tools.
• Proactive Block Removal & Capacity Planning: anticipate resource needs and remove blockers.
• Analytical Prowess: analyze test data and correlate with models/simulations.
• Experienced Communicator: deliver detailed test reports to senior management.
