Job summary
Form Energy in Berkeley is seeking a Staff Test Engineer to lead major pack-level validation assets, owning planning, execution, data integrity, and reporting across hardware and software. Qualifications
- 8+ years in systems test engineering or hardware validation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related engineering field.
- Experience with high-power industrial systems and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Own a major pack-level test asset and oversee commissioning, usage, data integrity, and decommissioning.
- Develop comprehensive test plans for auxiliary systems, BMS hardware, and sensor networks.
- Translate requirements into validated test strategies across hardware and software.
- Partner with Site Operations to manage infrastructure, power, safety, and uptime.
- Lead daily test campaigns and conduct RCA when anomalies occur.
- Create engineering reports and dashboards for product milestones.
- Mentor junior engineers and test technicians.
- Promote safety, 5S, and thorough lab documentation.
