Job summary

ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. in North Mankato, MN, USA, is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead automation development for hydraulic and electrohydraulic test equipment.

You will craft test plans, ensure performance under harsh conditions, and collaborate with product engineering throughout development from concept to production. The role requires 7+ years of experience, a relevant engineering degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s preferred), and strong LabVIEW/PLC skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in LabVIEW, PLC and automation languages.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Researching and implementing new technologies in electrohydraulic test equipment.
• Overseeing development of complex test equipment and systems incorporating mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and software design.
• Developing test methods and systems to simulate real world usage conditions.
• Writing software (LabVIEW, PLC, etc) to control and monitor complex test programs.
• Researching and understanding industry standards as they relate to physical and electrical environmental product compliance and lifetime testing.
• Interfacing with product engineering teams during the development process.
• Planning and overseeing the execution of test programs for product development from concept to production (serial) release.
• Developing methods of analyzing data to create reports and other documentation based on data acquired during prototype, environmental and lifetime testing.
