Job summary

ZF Off-Highway Solutions Minnesota Inc. is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design and implement automation equipment for testing hydraulic and electrohydraulic systems used in off-highway machines.

You will translate product requirements into robust test plans and lead development of test rigs from concept to production. The role demands a bachelor’s in mechanical or electrical engineering, 7+ years of experience, and hands-on experience with LabVIEW and PLC programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in test engineering and automation.
• Strong writing and process development skills; highly organized with project management and risk assessment abilities.
• Ability to research, interpret, and implement test standards; solve problems.
• Knowledge of LabVIEW, PLC and other automation languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation equipment for testing hydraulic and electrohydraulic components.
• Create test plans and oversee testing from concept to production release.
• Write software to control and monitor tests (LabVIEW, PLC).
• Analyze data and prepare reports from prototype and environmental testing.
• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure standards compliance.
