Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Senior Test Engineer to support ejection seat hardware development and verification within the SEIT team in Colorado Springs. You will interpret test requirements, develop procedures, and ensure safe, compliant test execution across all lifecycle phases.

You will collaborate with systems designers and engineers, collect and report data, and help optimize test fixtures. Travel up to 25% may be required; U.S. citizenship is required for access to sensitive programs.

Qualifications

• Test engineering experience on physical assets for performance/environmental testing.
• Strong analytical skills in physics, dynamics and data reduction.
• Experience coordinating technical projects and presenting to customers.

Responsibilities

• Interpret test requirements and develop/maintain test procedures.
• Ensure tests follow approved plans and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with system and design engineers on test development and qualification.
• Ensure accurate data collection and reporting of results.
• Design and modify test fixtures and articles per test programs.
• Participate in peer reviews across design, development, integration, and flight test.
• Plan and execute tests and analyze results to root cause.
• Evaluate facility processes to reduce costs and improve data collection.
• Use Jira to plan and execute sprint tasks.
• Cross-train to support SEIT tasking surges.
• Interact with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
• Travel up to 25%.
