Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test solutions for REST APIs and web UIs. You will contribute to a scalable QA framework using Python, Pytest, Docker/Podman, and CI/CD with Jenkins and GitLab.

The role requires strong Linux command-line skills, Robot Framework experience, and SQL validation. Selected candidate will migrate legacy Robot Framework implementations to modern platforms and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 12+ years of related experience.
• Strong Linux and Bash scripting skills with command-line fluency.
• Advanced Python test automation experience including Pytest and maintainable frameworks.
• Hands-on Docker/Podman in automation and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with Jenkins and GitLab pipelines for containerized tests.
• REST API testing, including auth flows and negative paths.
• Robot Framework UI automation with Selenium is preferred.
• Ability to design scalable test harnesses for UI/API testing.
• Knowledge of SQL and SQL Developer usage in automated validation.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites for REST APIs and web UIs.
• Build a scalable test framework with CI/CD integration and robust reporting.
• Expand Python-based automation using Pytest with fixtures and data strategies.
• Create and maintain Docker/Podman images for consistent automation runs.
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins and GitLab pipelines.
• Use Linx and Bash to process logs and test data at scale.
• Support UI automation via Robot Framework and Selenium.
• Plan migration of legacy Robot Framework toward modern tools such as Playwright.
• Write SQL queries and integrate database validation in tests.
• Troubleshoot CI failures and improve test reliability and efficiency.
