Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to provide Agile DevOps support for mission-critical systems. The role emphasizes test automation, cloud environments, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software in a SAFe Agile setting.

Responsibilities include automation asset development, CI/CD pipeline integration, and rigorous testing of backend and frontend processes. Strong scripting (Python) and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret clearance required.
Ability to obtain TS/SCI and CI poly before start.
BS in Computer Science or related; MS with 2–6 years experience or 4 years in lieu of a degree.
Experience with AWS, OpenShift and DevOps tools.
Experience in SAFe Agile and DevOps environments.
Experience testing backend and frontend applications.
Scripting in Python to automate tasks.
Experience with CI pipelines and Jest, Cypress or Playwright.
Knowledge of software performance testing and test case creation.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Apply DevOps practices to develop, maintain, and improve test automation assets.
Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage requirements, tasks, and documentation.
Support software development, testing, and integration in cloud environments.
Participate in Agile software development activities to support iterations and testing.
Collaborate to assess tickets and ensure testing meets acceptance criteria.
Develop test approaches focusing on automation of regression tests.
Create, maintain, and evaluate automated test suites for CI pipelines.
Execute and document testing activities for Jira-tracked efforts.
Analyze results and provide feedback to drive process improvement.
