Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Test Engineer III to design, develop, and program automated test equipment for electronics manufacturing and product testing. You will refine test methods and fixtures, provide DFT guidance, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure robust testing strategies.

The role requires hands-on debugging, test automation scripting (LabVIEW, Python), and effective support for technicians and production staff in a high-visibility environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of test engineering experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience designing, building, and programming automated test equipment for manufacturing environments.
• Programming experience related to automated testing (LabVIEW, Python).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for manufacturing and product testing environments.
• Create, document, and improve test methods, test fixtures, and test procedures for production and new product development.
• Evaluate product designs and provide Design for Test (DFT) recommendations to improve testability and coverage.
• Partner with manufacturing engineering to develop robust testing processes and manufacturing specifications.
• Support implementation of new testers on the production floor, including setup, verification, and validation.
• Train technicians on tester operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide ongoing technical support for production testing and manufacturing operations.
