Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a hands-on Functional Circuit Test (FCT) Test Development Engineer to lead vendor-integrated testing and automated test fixture development. This role reports to the System Electronics Development team and supports FCT and EOL testing for PCBA and system-level products.

You will collaborate across Electrical, Firmware, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, provide DFT feedback, manage external vendors, and drive test process improvements to achieve high uptime in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree requirements in related technical field.
• Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing test engineering experience in PCBA/TLA environments.
• Experience with automated test systems using NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
• Strong understanding of CAN, CAN-FD, SPI, I2C, IsoSPI, Modbus RTU, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP.
• Experience integrating test systems with MES and data formats like SQL/JSON/XML/Protobuf.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and troubleshoot automated electronic manufacturing test systems.
• Lead FCT and EOL test development for PCBA and system-level products.
• Define test strategies, test coverage, acceptance criteria, and validation methodologies for manufacturing test equipment.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Firmware, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams during product development and NPI phases.
• Provide Design-for-Test feedback to engineering teams to improve manufacturability and test coverage.
• Manage external vendors for test fixture development, test equipment integration, and deployment activities.
• Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for manufacturing test equipment.
• Develop and document robust, scalable, and maintainable manufacturing test processes with high uptime and operational reliability.
• Support NPI builds, failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and manufacturing ramp activities.
• Drive continuous improvements in test architecture, automation, diagnostics, and manufacturing efficiency.
