Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test in Westlake, TX to design and implement automated tests for distributed services within Workplace Investing. You will build scalable test suites, maintain automation frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting.

Required: 10+ years in test automation with Java or similar, experience with Cypress/Selenium, REST, Git, Jenkins, and cloud/DevOps concepts; strong problem-solving and learning agility;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 10+ years in test automation development using Java or similar language.
• Experience testing distributed apps across multiple stack layers.
• Proficient with REST, Java, Web Services, SOAP, Git, Jenkins.
• Strong scripting and programming skills (SQL/XML/HTML/JavaScript/Java/Python).
• Experience with test automation tools (Cucumber, Selenium, RESTAssured, Git, Jenkins).
• Hands-on with frameworks like JUnit, TestRunner, Selenium (TestNG).
• Knowledge of Git/ClearCase or similar VCS; Azure/DevOps/CI-CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust test automation for distributed services.
• Develop and maintain testing frameworks and utilities.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps in Agile mode.
• Participate in problem triage and risk mitigation for automation.
• Translate requirements into test stories and acceptance criteria.
