Job summary

Stord is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to build scalable automated testing infrastructure. You will own E2E, API, and load testing across platforms, partnering with engineers and product managers to embed high-quality automation into CI workflows.

Ideal candidates have Playwright or similar frameworks, strong scripting skills (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python), and experience with API testing and performance testing. This is a hands-on role shaping modern QA at scale.

Qualifications

• You’ve built and maintained production E2E suites (Playwright or equivalent).
• CI/CD integration with release gates that block bad merges.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for test automation.
• Hands-on experience with API/contract testing tools (Pact) or API testing tools (Postman).
• Experience with load testing tools (k6, Locust).
• You use AI coding tools productively while applying your own judgment.
• You script tooling from the terminal, not GUI recorders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scripts across the test pyramid: API, integration, E2E and load tests.
• Partner with PMs to translate critical flows into automated coverage
• Develop Playwright-based E2E suites for golden-path journeys
• Integrate test suites into GitHub Actions CI and gate releases on coverage
• Own suite health metrics and drive reliability as coverage grows
• Create AI-assisted tooling to generate test plans from acceptance criteria
• Maintain a regression and coverage infrastructure for critical paths
• Define load and performance test frameworks with engineering partners
